Loyola High School hosted CBSE Regional Science Exhibition 2022 on 13thDecember, 2022 and 14th December, 2022. Sixty-nine teams from forty-four schools participated in this exhibition. The first day’s event was graced by our Chief Guest Mr. Jitendra Mahajan, Assistant Secretary, Examination and Confidential, Regional Office, Patna who was the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour Mr. Rajeev Ranjan Sinha, President, PatliputraSahodaya. The Chief Guest Mr Jitendra Mahajan spoke about the importance of physical, mental and spiritual health of the students. He encouraged the participants to excel academically, and also tried to inculcate in them the seed of time management and innovation.
The judges for the event were Mr. NeelmaniRangesh, AGM (NWP-CFA) BSNL, Bihar, Telecom Circle, Patna, Ms. Devopriya Dutta, Environmentalist, UN Youth Coordinator at Tarumitra, Dr. Vikas Shankar, Assistant Professor – Skin and VD Department, PMCH, Patna, Dr.Ramakar Jha, Professor- Department of Civil Engineering, NIT, Patna, Dr. Reena Singh, Assistant Professor- Department of Civil Engineering, NIT, Patna, Dr.Nityanand Singh Maurya, Department of Civil Engineering, NIT, Patna. The observer of the exhibition was Mr. Praveen, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, B.N College, Patna University, Patna.
The main theme of this exhibition was ‘Technology and Toys’. It was further bifurcated into sub themes like Advancement in Information Communication Technology, Eco-friendly Material, Health and Cleanliness, Transport and Innovation, Environmental Concerns, Historical Development with Current Innovation and Mathematics Around Us.
The first round of judgement took place on 13th December, 2022. Out of 69 teams, 15 teams were short listed for the final round. They were judged in 2 categories: Junior Category (classes 6-8) and Senior Category (classes 9-11).
The closing ceremony took place on 14th December, 2022 in which the judges were felicitated with a memento followed by the final judgement and the declaration of the results. The winning teams qualified for the National level.The event concluded with the National Anthem.
